Resident Aliens: CEPA Gallery 2002/2003 Regional Resident Artist:
[ Jeanne Dunkle ]

Artist Statement:

My intention is to examine the relationship between image and text. I believe when text is displayed with an image there is a natural tendency to establish a relationship between them. In juxtaposing the image with an unrelated word that is not overtly descriptive of the image, I am looking to initiate a dialogue causing the viewer to remember or fantasize about an event. In effect, the viewer is forcing themselves to create the scenario.
