"Faces of Iraq" couldn't be more timely. This exhibition of work by seven U.S. photographers attempts to show the Iraqi people from a viewpoint outside the conditions of war and the political and moral arguments that surround war. The 55 images were taken between 1998 and 2002 by photographers Gabriela Bulisova, Bob Haynes, Gerri Haynes, Ramzi Kysia, James Longley, Jane McBee and Alan Pogue.

The show, which was previewed in January in Washington, D.C., to excellent reviews, opens with a reception from 4 to 8 p.m. today in CEPA Gallery, 617 Main St. Canisius College graduate William Marx, who was part of a 15-member delegation to Iraq in February, will speak at 6:30. The show will conclude with a closing reception May 10. See www.buffalopeacepeople.org or call 856-2717 for details.
