Visions of Greater Buffalo was such an enormous success in 2005 that CEPA Gallery is doing it again with 100 different VIPs. Don't miss out, be a visible part of the celebration!

WHO? WHAT?

Visions of Greater Buffalo is a unique fundraising event that highlights the talent and diversity of Western New York's best and brightest. The project celebrates CEPA's long dedication to the photographic tradition and provides a window into the lives of some of the region's most interesting and important fi gures, from doctors and lawyers to politicians and businesspeople to internationally recognized sports and music icons. Audiences delight in the opportunity to mingle with these celebrities as they view and purchase photographs during a festive celebration and silent auction.

WHEN? HOW?

One hundred regional VIPs are being recruited to create 37 photographs using a Kodak single-use color camera. Cameras will be distributed to participants in September 2006 and collected in November. CEPA will provide basic photographic tips and guidelines, but theme and subject matter are up to the individual discretion of each photographer. Nova-Photo, a Buffalo-based imaging lab will process the cameras and create a set of proofs. A representative panel of judges will review and select one image from each VIP. The chosen photographs will be enlarged and framed with materials donated by New York Frame. These 9" x13" images will be available for viewing and purchase during a festive celebration and silent auction on March 24, 2007.

WHY?

Visions of Greater Buffalo 2007 will be one of the highlights of CEPA Gallery's 2006/07 season. With the enormous success of the fi rst event and widespread anticipation for Visions 2007, CEPA is sure to draw signifi cant crowds from the greater Western New York region. A vast majority of the participating photographers will attend, creating an exciting who's who atmosphere at CEPA. Audiences will enjoy a fun evening with good food, good friends, and the knowledge that they are supporting one of the region's most important and vibrant cultural organizations. All proceeds will benefit CEPA Gallery's internationally recognized Exhibition and Youth Education programs.
