The KNOWMAD Confederacy

This interactive installation, created by the collective of artists, graphic designers, fabricators and audio engineers known as The KNOWMAD Confederacy, explores the cartographic imagination and its real-world political implications. Cleverly concealed in an installation designed as a work-station, the piece is modeled on a video game. It invites users to navigate a labyrinth of highly decorative surfaces as a way to visit the landscapes— interior and exterior— of nomadic life.
