John Schabel

John Schabel’s black and white photographic series, Passengers, will be installed in CEPA’s Underground Gallery. The work, a series of toned gelatin silver prints displays still photographs of exterior airplane windows and the passengers existing inside, voyeuristically capturing moments in these passengers lives.

John Schabel, is a photographer living and working in New York City. Schabel holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MFA from The School of Visual Arts. Solo exhibitions of his work include: Paul Morris Gallery and Morris-Healy Gallery (NYC); Galerie Index (Stockholm); and Dan Bernier Gallery (Santa Monica). His work has been included in several group exhibitions, including the Whitney Biennial,1997.
